In our experience over the years, we have come to notice that customers play a significant role in cutting down moving time and contributing to an easier move.
Please take a minute to review the following tips to better prepare yourself for your move.
Important issues when Booking, Packing , and Moving Days
BOOKING
When booking, please provide as much detail as you can. Even two to three stairs can extend your moving time. Picture this: a mover can easily handle 6 – 8 boxes on a dolly if there are no stairs; however, where there are stairs, a dolly is no use and the mover would need to carry the boxes one by one. For a larger moves, that might mean 60 to 70 boxes and that would significantly lengthen moving time. When you provide us with all the details, we are able to advise you of cost-efficient options. For example, it’s not a good idea to hire two movers for a big move with lots of boxes just because the hourly rate for two movers is lower. Hiring more movers would cut down on your moving time and is more likely to lower the overall cost.
You can call us; however, we would prefer to receive your information by email with the following details:
Name,
Contact number (cell phone is preferred),
Moving date & time of the day,
Number of movers required,
Truck size required,
Any specific requirements, such as piano pallet or wardrobe boxes or even moving supplies, and
method of payment preference

Packing & Preparation
You can cut your moving time and expenses up to 50% or even more with appropriate preparation. To do so, you need to box anything you can and disassemble large, heavy or plain cumbersome items that are hard to move. To organize small items, follow the following guidelines:
1. By packing your belongings in boxes of the same size, the movers can manage the truck more efficiently; both in terms of truck space and loading/unloading time.
2. Wrap fragile items with soft wrapping papers or cloths. Please avoid using printed papers as they will leave marks on some items. The boxes will be stacked in the truck, so it is important to keep fragile items in the most protected parts of any box.
3. Please do not make boxes heavier than 25 kg (almost 55 lb) as the heavy boxes tire movers faster, resulting in longer moving time.
4. Please pack dense items such as books in smaller boxes. Light items can be packed in larger boxes.
5. When packing liquids, make sure to wrap them in a strong plastic bag before packing them in the box.
6. Please tape all boxes and do not leave them open; otherwise, they will be challenging to load.
7. Please indicate clearly on the boxes whether they carry any fragile items, liquid, etc.
8. Disassembling hard- to- manage items (even beds) is another step to be taken for pre-move preparation. We can definitely disassemble items if you do not wish to do so; however, by doing so yourself, your move will take less time and obviously cost less.
We do not want to push you to do so. We can disassemble things like bed, but again, we want to make your move easier, shorter, faster and cheaper.

Moving Day
1. Please arrange for an appropriate parking place for the moving truck before the moving truck arrives at your place. If you reside in a house, please arrange for a parking spot in very close proximity of your house. You may need to make arrangements with your neighbors 24 hours ahead of the move. Parking spots are one of the foremost factors that increase moving time. To demonstrate: in the absence of a desirable parking spot, a move which we had handled the previous year in three hours was completed in five hours.
2. If the move is a condominium move, please ensure the elevator is locked and covered.
3. Before our movers start loading the truck, please advise them of your moving plan. Let them know if any particular item is to be dropped off first or last, so that they can load it at the front or back of the truck.
4. Please make sure that your children are not around the truck when move is process.
5. Please keep your keys, phone, personal items, or items you have immediate need of in a safe place so that our movers don't transport them to the truck.
6. Please protect your pets by keeping them in a safe area away from the moving process and truck.
